{"id":121,"date":"2020-03-19T14:18:42","date_gmt":"2020-03-19T18:18:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/remoteteaching\/?p=121"},"modified":"2020-03-19T14:18:42","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T18:18:42","slug":"remote-peer-tutoring-from-the-academic-skills-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/remoteteaching\/2020\/03\/19\/remote-peer-tutoring-from-the-academic-skills-center\/","title":{"rendered":"Remote Peer Tutoring from the Academic Skills Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An announcement from the <a href=\"https:\/\/asc.richmond.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academic Skills Center<\/a>:<\/p>\n<h4>Remote\u00a0peer-tutoring will be available beginning March 23, 2020.<\/h4>\n<p>These tutoring sessions will be held\u00a0virtually\u00a0as on-call appointments\u00a0in 50-minute sessions\u00a0and can be made by emailing the tutor with whom you would like to work\u00a0from your UR email address.\u00a0To ensure all students are able to receive the assistance they need, we are limiting students to\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>one<\/strong><\/span><\/em>\u00a0tutoring session per day for each subject with the same tutor. Students may have multiple appointments on the same day, but not for the same subject, with the same tutor.<\/p>\n<p>The peer-tutors available for these appointments are\u00a0listed in the\u00a0Box file:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/richmond.box.com\/s\/px975b3hureutnmkkjxky9fp7imas2ud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">On-Call Online Tutors<\/a>. To make an appointment, you\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>must<\/strong><\/span><\/em>\u00a0email the tutor\u00a0from your UR email address\u00a0and set up a time and platform for your tutoring session to take place.
