This is done to create an aesthetic of \u201cwhiteness\u201d that is more visually pleasing, and \u201cbeautiful\u201d to viewers. The idea of humanizing this overly beautified image comes from the over representation of white people in the media; which forces all viewers to normalize the beautified image.<\/p>\n<p>The television show, \u201cFriends\u201d has been incredibly popular for decades, and it is certainly one of my favorite shows. The program is also an example of over representation of white people in the media.
