This graduation season was a special one for me. I stepped on to University of Richmond’s campus four years ago approximately at the same time as this class of 2018. Just like these students, I have learned a lot, grown as a person, and been immersed in the Spider community.<\/p>\n

During commencement, we celebrate our students’ accomplishments and look forward to all of the amazing things they will do in the future. But it is bittersweet for us as faculty: I hope to have impacted their time on our campus, I am excited for what they will do with their lives, and I am sad to be here without them.<\/p>\n

To the class of 2018: Keep in touch. Do good. Always question and grow. You are never too old to learn something new.<\/p>\n
