Fluorescent Techniques Used in Academic and Clinical Research
Here in the Pollock lab, we utilize a variety of techniques to learn and collect data on the characteristics and functions of proteins and molecules. Some of which include ‘homebrew’ assays that were developed by previous members of the Pollock Lab. The assay I use...
The Pollock lab utilizes chemical biology techniques, biochemical methods, and organic synthesis to understand breast cancer and inflammatory disease development and progression. In particular, we are interested in nuclear receptor function, phosphorylation signaling pathways, design of prodrugs, and the link between cancer and inflammation. We have a lot of collaborators on and off campus so we can expand our scientific discoveries.
