I get to work with some of the most amazing students. This past weekend, the University of Richmond held its first annual Black Excellence Gala. From the pictures I've seen, and the reports from those who attended, it was a wonderful night of celebration....
The Pollock lab utilizes chemical biology techniques, biochemical methods, and organic synthesis to understand breast cancer and inflammatory disease development and progression. In particular, we are interested in nuclear receptor function, phosphorylation signaling pathways, design of prodrugs, and the link between cancer and inflammation. We have a lot of collaborators on and off campus so we can expand our scientific discoveries.
