{"id":241,"date":"2010-09-06T10:48:22","date_gmt":"2010-09-06T15:48:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/physicsbunn\/2010\/09\/06\/zheng-bunn-paper-accepted\/"},"modified":"2010-09-06T10:48:22","modified_gmt":"2010-09-06T15:48:22","slug":"zheng-bunn-paper-accepted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/physicsbunn\/2010\/09\/06\/zheng-bunn-paper-accepted\/","title":{"rendered":"Zheng &amp; Bunn paper accepted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A while back, I <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/physicsbunn\/2010\/03\/31\/zheng-bunn-paper-submitted\/\">mentioned <\/a>a paper by Haoxuan (Jeff) Zheng and me assessing whether some observations of anomalous patterns in the microwave background could be seen as evidence in favor of certain exotic cosmological models.\u00a0 The paper has now been accepted and will appear in <em>Physical Review D<\/em> in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>The referee for the paper had a number of quite apt criticisms of the original version we submitted.\u00a0 We addressed those criticisms, with the result that the <a href=\"http:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/1003.5548\">final version<\/a> of the paper is, I think, considerably better than the original.\u00a0 It&#8217;s nice when refereeing works out this way.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Jeff on an excellent piece of work!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A while back, I mentioned a paper by Haoxuan (Jeff) Zheng and me assessing whether some observations of anomalous patterns in the microwave background could be seen as evidence in favor of certain exotic cosmological models.\u00a0 The paper has now been accepted and will appear in Physical Review D in the coming months.
