If you do, <a href=\"https:\/\/richmond.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/permalink\/01URICH_INST\/1fl54dq\/alma999065913606241\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this CD<\/a> is something you should definitely check out. <\/p>\n<p>Side note: the whiteboard questions are open for anyone to answer!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/richmond.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/permalink\/01URICH_INST\/1fl54dq\/alma999065913606241\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">This CD<\/a> is a collection of <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1093\/gmo\/9781561592630.article.43315\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">arias<\/a>, or long accompanied songs for soloists, from a variety of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Romantic_composers\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">romantic composers<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Romantic_music\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">romantic era<\/a> in music can usually be characterized by the introduction of chromatic harmonies and new chord progressions that \u201cbreak\u201d the rules of classical composition. They do not necessarily rely on resolving a melody or having a constant tempo throughout the piece. Romantic composers saw music as a medium to express human emotion and experience; it was seen as a way of communication. <\/p>\n<p>Sung by my favorite tenor, <a href=\"https:\/\/richmond.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/permalink\/01URICH_INST\/1fl54dq\/alma999065913606241\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this CD<\/a> contains arias sung in Italian, French, and German. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jonas_Kaufmann\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jonas Kaufmann<\/a> is a German operatic tenor noted for his versatility. You may remember seeing him as<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1093\/gmo\/9781561592630.article.23751\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Don Jos\u00e9 in <em>Carmen<\/em><\/a>, but I personally became a fan after watching him in <a href=\"https:\/\/richmond.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/permalink\/01URICH_INST\/191gg5k\/alma9922053453606241\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Massenet\u2019s <em>Werther<\/em><\/a>.
