Today\u2019s installment of Arachnophonia<\/a> comes courtesy of Music Library student worker Olivia (class of 2019), and features the Discovery<\/a><\/strong>, the second studio album by French electronic music duo Daft Punk<\/a>. Thanks, Olivia!<\/em><\/p>\n

Daft Punk<\/a> have established themselves as legends in the realm of dance music since their 1996 debut album, Homework<\/em><\/a>. They gained popularity quickly with their funky mix of French house music and mixing punk, funk, disco and rock elements. <\/p>\n

In 2001, they released their album Discovery<\/a><\/em>, in my opinion the best of their work. The songs \u201cOne More Time<\/a>\u201d and \u201cHarder, Faster, Better, Stronger<\/a>\u201d have remained hits since their release, with music fans everywhere able to sing and dance along. <\/p>\n

\"Single<\/p>\n

Kanye West<\/a>\u2019s use of \u201cHarder, Faster, Better, Stronger\u201d in his song \u201cStronger<\/a>\u201d only increased the duo\u2019s popularity and widespread listening population. <\/p>\n

\"Promotional<\/p>\n

What is so great about Daft Punk<\/a> is their ability to appeal to almost every type of music listener, spanning the separation of many different genres. Also intriguing and interesting is their rare appearance in interviews, television and photos with their robot helmets off, inspiring a sense of mystery and awe in these house music legends. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
