I think it is really interesting that a specific type of instrument or music can be associated with a single gender. I will explore the reason behind it and examine the process that forms the idea. I think it will connect with some specific ideas that we discussed in class, such as hierarchy of forms of music. We talked about some music was deemed as &#8220;a lower art&#8221; because people dance with it, instead of listen to it quietly.
