For example, the well known ad campaign by Always, “Like a Girl”, was heavily shown on various social media platforms, physical\/digital magazine, and billboards. This campaign not only normalized once unspoken female necessities, but also built up a sense of confidence in women and girls. Research showed that half of girls dropped out of sports which didn’t fit the female gender-norm until this was released into new media.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cached.imagescaler.hbpl.co.uk\/resize\/scaleWidth\/743\/cached.offlinehbpl.hbpl.co.uk\/news\/ORP\/LikeAGirl-201503140833087341-20171011021851302.jpg\" width=\"399\" height=\"224\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Throughout time, the presentation of gender has been highly separated and depicted through two lenses: that of the stereotypical woman and man.
