For each keyword we cover in class, read the assigned text, then write a response of about 150-200 words in which you identify an example of that keyword as a lens or method in media, culture, or your own experience. Add your response as a new post on our course blog. Be sure to add the appropriate Keyword as a category to the post, and add a few tags that describe the general themes of your response. Wherever possible, provide a link to the example in your response. Responses are due on Thursdays by class time (12pm) unless otherwise noted in the course outline.<\/p>\n
After Thursday\u2019s class, read your classmates\u2019 responses and reply to at least 2 of them in comments of about 100 words. Use the comment feature on responses to add your comments. Replies should make some sort of statement about the response: agreement or disagreement (always explaining why); confirming or asking questions (always with respect); offering a similar or completely different example; or otherwise affirming the ideas in the original post. Replies shouldn\u2019t be inflammatory, mean spirited, or contrarian; instead, they should be thoughtful, helpful, and contributory.
