Being gay falls out the man box for different reasons. As we discussed in class every characteristic we discussed in class was based on how manly a person acts. I believe it is obvious as to why being gay falls out of the man box. From what I see through life most people who are gay tend to act feminine.\u00a0\u00a0We\u00a0as a society look at being gay outside of the norm, at least in earlier times. Especially during earlier times a man dating another man was un expectable and people were heavily criticized. I have heard of occasions about how someone\u00a0found out another man was gay and the gay person ended up being killed.\u00a0Now it is some what different and more people are accepting it.\u00a0\u00a0Being gay in\u00a0present time has gone to such an extreme that some men are actually\u00a0having surgery to change their male parts into female parts.\u00a0\u00a0I pose a question how can you be considered manly if you try to change your sexuality. Every is entitled to their own opinion and I personally don’t have a problem with gay people. However, when answering the question, why is being gay outside the man box? It is because of his feminine ways. As we discussed a man is viewed as strong, dominate, leader, tough, etc. Being feminine has none of these traits.\u00a0 In conclusion, a person has the ability to do whatever they feel is right. However, as a society I believe everyone would come to conclusion that being gay should not be in the man box because a man should not act as a women.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
