While this may seem straight forward from a &#8220;straight person&#8217;s&#8221; perspective I be you never though about the same idea applying to the homosexual community. In the article, &#8220;Why Do Masculine Gay Guys Look Down on Feminine Gay Guys&#8221;, they dive in to the prejudices and distaste that &#8220;manly&#8221; gay men have for &#8220;womanly&#8221; gay men. My favorite passage from the article was, &#8220;The ironic thing about it all is that you look down on feminine gay men because they\u2019re actually stronger than you. Anyone who can get up and walk out of their house knowing they will be rejected by most of the people they run into has to be strong and thick-skinned. There\u2019s no alternative. &#8221; because is shows how inner strength can be even more powerful than physical strength.
