Education
Michael holds a Doctorate of Philosophy (2016) and Masters of Arts (2011) in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Arts (2009) in History, Slavic Studies, and Business Institutions from Northwestern University.
Teaching
As an interdisciplinary humanist, Michael teaches Russian language, literature, culture, and linguistics, while also advising students in the Self-Directed Language Acquisition Program.

Michael manages a team of over 20 student employees, including Global Studio Assistants and Foreign Language Partners. He has held diverse positions in higher education, contributed to exciting projects, and earned unique honors and accolades.
