We will not have time to read\u00a0<em>Jamilia,\u00a0<\/em> so that reading falls out.\u00a0 This week, I will lecture on Tuesday and Thursday on the period of reform and hope that followed in the decade after Stalin&#8217;s death.\u00a0 The following Tuesday (Nov 2) will be reserved for small group consultations, to get you started on your final projects.<\/p>\n<p>Midterms look good. Read the final project instructions and start thinking about with whom\/what\/ you want to do.\u00a0 Email me any time with ideas and queries.\u00a0 Above all, do not panic.\u00a0 Readings for class include two more short stories and two more articles.
