One that it particularly interesting and relevant is is the State and County Maps of Virginia Collection. This historical atlas compiles many maps dating as far back as the 18th Century. Taking a look at some of the maps within the collection gives a great look at how Virginia has evolved as both a colony and a commonwealth.
