Effective Monday, November 1, 2021, Cheetah was rebranded as VitalLaw. With the rebranding, Wolters Kluwer is introducing two new domains: vitallaw.com and my.vitallaw.com, which transitioned during October 30-31, 2021. Vitallaw.com will feature publicly available, but limited, WK offerings. As subscribers, we will access our extended content via my.vitallaw.com; if you are having trouble accessing Cheetah/VitalLaw materials you’ve used in the past, make sure you are using the correct URL. To ensure uninterrupted access, WK will keep automatic domain redirects between Cheetah and VitalLaw in place for the next year (expiring October 2022).
Campus access to VitalLaw is IP authenticated and does not require you to create an account (username and password). Anyone accessing VitalLaw from campus should be seamlessly authenticated when visiting the new site (my.vitallaw.com). You will need to be on the VPN to access VitalLaw from off-campus.
While the name and URL address for the site are changing, the navigation will still be familiar and all links will remain intact. Anyone who is using an individual Cheetah account will still be able to access their search history and favorites after the transition. If you’d like to take advantage of customization features such as saved searches, work history/lists, and favorites, you can create a personal VitalLaw account. From the homepage, click the Log In link in the top, right-hand corner of the screen. Once prompted to login, select the Create User ID link. Remember to use your UR Law email address when registering for an account.
