{"id":1820,"date":"2014-02-17T20:06:44","date_gmt":"2014-02-17T20:06:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jolt.richmond.edu\/?p=1820"},"modified":"2019-03-08T19:52:31","modified_gmt":"2019-03-09T00:52:31","slug":"streaming-downton-abbey-when-will-the-law-catch-up-to-global-television","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/jolt\/2014\/02\/17\/streaming-downton-abbey-when-will-the-law-catch-up-to-global-television\/","title":{"rendered":"Streaming Downton Abbey: When Will the Law Catch Up to Global Television?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0by Cate Gray, Associate Manuscripts Editor<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On January 5, 2014, PBS premiered season four of critically acclaimed period drama Downton Abbey to record-breaking ratings in the United States.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a>\u00a0 The problem for diehard fans truly committed to knowing the trials and tribulations of the Crawley family?\u00a0 In the United Kingdom, the season four <i>finale<\/i> already aired on December 25, 2013.<a title=\"\" href=\"#_ftn2\">[2]<\/a>\u00a0 Fans of BBC One\u2019s Sherlock can sympathize;
