Third Quest

Marcarius October 20, 2016 10/20 Third Quest: Sanders and Vermes, Final Five (Group 1)

The third quest focused on the historical Jesus, disconnected from Christology. Vermes and Sanders believed that Jesus was working within Judaism. In Specific, Vermes believed that Jesus fit into the charismatic Judaism and Sanders believed that Jesus was part of the restoration of Jewish eschatology.
