Reimarus and Paulus

The apostles follow the structure of the church.  This is contrary to the perspective of the Enlightenment.  The enlightenment thinkers did not use theology as a means to explain various events, rather they used logic and science to explain religious events.  This is where we get Reimarus and his rejection of theological thought to scientific logic and rational which can be interpreted as heretical by religious people.  Reimarus views miracles as misunderstood–because individuals did not have the proper scientific tools to rationally explain things so they resort to calling them miracles.
