So far in my internship, I\u2019ve mainly focused on learning the various programs and platforms that the company uses. One of my main tasks as an intern involves digital marketing strategies and consumer insights for their website HiNOTE. HiNOTE is similar to Cameo, except it\u2019s strictly musically focused, and artists will send personalized videos to customers, including verses or choruses of their favorite song (it\u2019s actually super cool and they have some great artists on there that I\u2019ve discovered as a result). This is a very new startup \u2013 the idea originated in March 2020, but the website didn\u2019t launch until December 2020. My main job was to track customer behavior and come up with ways to increase traffic and sales, which I did for about a week.<\/p>\n
One thing that I noticed while going over customer orders and behavior was that there were a lot of glitches throughout the website that made it difficult for customers to place orders and navigate the site. For example, when taken to the site from an ad (whether that be on Facebook, Instagram, etc.), the \u201cartist page\u201d only showed eight of the 50+ artists on the site, four of whom were sold out\/not filling requests at that time. Because of that, a lot of customers wouldn\u2019t bother to look for other artists (because they assumed there were only eight) and would leave without placing an order. After mentioning this and other site flaws to my supervisor and the web developer, a lot more customers took the time to browse the site and were more likely to add an artist or song to their cart, therefore increasing traffic and sales.<\/p>\n
I really appreciated having this specific role, because it has helped me show my supervisors that I am trustworthy and detail-oriented. Because of that, I have been given much more exciting and important tasks that have broadened the scope of my role. Because a lot of the jobs at Forward Artist Management are completely confidential, having this gateway role solidified my skills to the company and has allowed me to have more opportunities within my role, which I\u2019m really excited about!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
