Organizational Capacity (Josie)

While being remote, I figured the organizational culture would be hard to maintain. To my surprise, it really is the opposite. One of the core values at Rose & Co is that we are all working towards the same goal. We are a small team that works together to achieve our goals. I think this structure of our business is really a key factor in maintaining the organizational culture of our company. Every day we have a morning meeting at 9:30 AM, no matter where people are working, it could be Greece or NYC, every team member shows up prepared to listen and contribute. This hard-working attitude and everyones willingness to be on-time and ready to go only makes us more productive and effective at our job.

With that being said, after the agenda and priority has been stated in the morning meeting, there are always people checking in on one another. Very casually people will crack a joke or ask the team a question before signing off. For someone who has only been working with the team for 2 months I feel very comfortable and people always are aware to ask me how I am doing or how my summer is going. This aspect of the morning meeting makes me feel so grateful that I am on a small team with people who know my name and want to get to know me. I can tell my boss always makes an effort to put a smile on peoples faces or say an encouraging line before we sign off. It is a great way to start the day and motivates everyone to do the best at their job.

For more serious tasks or when explaining a concept, one of the analysts will call me individually on Teams. This is a much smaller setting and a place where I can address any concerns I am having, ask any questions and catch up with the analysts. When not on a video phone call, I will reach out to an analyst with a question on Teams Message.

For those who are higher up in the company, when I reach out to them it is most typically over email. People are very efficient at responding and one of my main tasks is assigning people calls every week. This requires me to have polite dialogue over email and to always make sure I am organized and responding to emails in my inbox.
