Ashlawn Medical- Work Culture

Ashlawn Medical is a business that has cultivated a very rich, trusting, fun, and hardworking culture. Tim Rose, the head principle at Ashlawn Medical, has instilled a positive work environment for all employees. One employee said it best, “Tim Rose is the reason I love my job.” Employees at Ashlawn Medical are a family. They all work together to achieve a common goal. Only 3 employees work on commission + salary, and the others are salary based. Those who only work on salary though are still just as motivated to perform for the people who work higher than them. Everybody wants everybody to thrive. Each people who work at Ashlawn treat each other with the outmost respect. They speak to each other pretty informally but it is because they all are so comfortable around each other. Even Tim talks to me, the intern, like we have been friends for 20 years. What this means to me is how trust is at the foundation of the work environment at Ashlawn. This is evident within the site’s work context as well. Since we sell medical bracing equipment usually with an abnormal schedule, it is imperative to ask for your co-workers help. For instance, a brace came in delayed due to a fluke with FedEx, and so a customer was not going to receive it when they expected. The customer lived close to Zach, one of the employees at Ashlawn, and even though Matt was the one who was in charge of the order, Zach drove after work hours to the customers house to help out Matt. That is just one of the few examples of teamwork I have seen working for Ashlawn. Being in any sales position also requires a level of leadership in itself since you are usually handling your own accounts independently. At Ashlawn, I have noticed how all employees exhibit leadership skills. Tim also creates a work place environment where each employee is able to act as a leader in some sort of way. Tim celebrates the individuality of each of his employees and enables them to mold the way in which they do their job to best fit them. The culture of trust and acceptance at Ashlawn Medical creates a positive and dynamic workplace environment which undeniably contributes to the teams’ success selling Breg products. There is no coincidence that Tim Rose makes Breg President club every year and Ashlawn Medical is one of the most successful distributors across the country.
