One thing that I had to work on was being firm about asking for more assignments. I had some projects to work on, but they are long term and I sometimes came to a point where I was treading water on those, and could use other things to do. When this happened, I mentioned it in the morning stand up meeting, and if nothing came out of that then I would ask other coworkers individually when it made sense. There are some coworkers who are easy to ask, even more than once in a day. For others, specifically higher up employees who can be a little bit intimidating, I have a slightly harder time asking for work because even though its not really true, I feel like I should already be busy.<\/p>\n<p>So this week I had some times when I had very little to do, especially when my CEO was traveling and the work I would do for him wasn&#8217;t available. I&#8217;ve gotten more comfortable asking for assignments, and I think as time goes by I am going to be able to figure out a system where I have work and a way to get more consistently.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week was fairly normal, a little slow even.
