I’m getting more and more acclimated to the organizational culture and atmosphere every day. I love the culture and value system here at Reaching Milestones. All of my co-workers and therapists are extremely positive. Everyone is very dedicated and committed to their and the mission of the organization. Following around the therapists and observing/evaluating their practices, I see how invested they are in making the biggest impact they can make in the families’ lives, whose children they see for therapy. Further, it is so rewarding to observe the gratitude and appreciation reciprocated from the families at the conclusion of the services offered. Reaching Milestones mission is:
Reaching Milestones maintains a family-centered philosophy that supports the family as the most significant component to the child’s progress. Support and encouragement, in combination with therapeutic skills and teaching, are offered by a knowledgeable and caring professional team. Through these services, families are empowered to incorporate therapeutic strategies into daily routines, maximizing the child’s ability to participate within their natural environment.
From my two weeks of working at Reaching Milestones , I have seen firsthand that every worker strives to maintain this philosophy each day, and it is reflected on the smiles and through the appreciation of the families that Reaching Milestones serves. Reaching Milestones is truly a very special place.
One observation that I have made regarding the context of the workplace is that all of the workers at Reaching Milestones are women. The Director of the organization is also a woman, which I feel like plays a big role in this observation, and the fact that it is a small business. It’s very interesting to me though and speaks to the role of women in the workplace. In leadership, a big theme present in almost every leadership class is gender roles. I think that Reaching Milestones’ all-women workforce has less to do with who they choose to hire and more to do with who chooses to be hired, and the field is predominantly female. While there is currently a shift occurring in our culture to include more women in leadership roles, there remains a superiority complex between males and females in leadership roles. Additionally, I do feel that the all-women workforce of Reaching Milestones contributes to specific culture that is present in the organization. There is a very woman empowering atmosphere here that is very positive and supportive of each other.

After working at Reaching Milestones Through Therapy for two weeks now, I now have a better grounding and daily routine.

[76607

post-713","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-organizational-culture
["GET
