At Sail Caribbean, there are many different When dealing with children, boats, and a tropical climate, there are many difficult, moving parts that can cause issues. Because of this, there is never a simple or uneventful day at Sail Caribbean. Along with the fun and excitement of each day, comes problems and issues with students and staff. Two big issues that are constantly faced at Sail Caribbean are exhaustion and medical problems. There is no \u2018time off\u2019 as you live with your students, and do not return home for three months. Because of this, tensions can run high and patience can run low. While this is a difficult problem to deal with, down time and time spent with other staff members is very important and can make a great difference. Other than wear and tear from the job, I believe that there are not many huge problems with the leadership and organization of Sail Caribbean. While it is taxing emotionally and physically, everyone who works with Sail Caribbean is so passionate about the job and the students that the downsides are outweighed.<\/p>\n
Teamwork and open communication are so crucial to the success of Sail Caribbean that they cannot be ignored or overlooked. The intensity of the environment filters out employees who are not willing to work towards a greater goal of educating and helping students while also learning to work effectively with each other. Communication is key to the success of any staff member at Sail Caribbean. Without strong communication, problems can arise at every turn.
