Red spotted newt
Dr. Grayson’s PhD dissertation dealt with population dynamics of red-spotted newts (Notophthalmus viridescens) and she did the bulk of the field research for those projects at Mountain Lake Biological Station.
UR students went back to those same ponds that Dr. Grayson studied to look at the longevity and current distribution of red-spotted newts in the area.
