As the globe continues to warm and land ice continues to melt, sea levels around the world are expected to increase. In my map project I will be focusing on global sea level rise and how it will affect Manhattan by the year 2100. Also, I will create another map showing approximately the total population of Manhattan that will be affected by sea level rise. In addition, another possible layer of detail that might be informative to the audience would be adding data showing the average income of the people living in places that will be affected by global sea level rise. This layer of information would help to discern whether there are any noticeable trends among who will be directly affected by global sea level rise.
