  • The proposed R-Plan is a voluntary-market carbon credits program (Cotula) that uses a Long Term Development Plan set up to implement initiatives in Indonesia from 2006 to 2025.
  • The REDD program will work on a multilateral level coordinating efforts with national and local level constituencies to ensure that all interests are involved.
  • The approach calls for a broad range of activities including analytical works, policy dialogue, stakeholder communications, shared learning, capacity building, awareness raising, and institutional arrangements including distribution of incentives and responsibilities at all levels (Forest Carbon Partnership Facility Readiness Mechanism).
  • On the National scale, the Ministry of Forestry is responsible for allocating and overseeing responsibilities and activities under the program.
