Denmark Story Map

University of Richmond students contributed to this interactive display to present remarkable aspects of Danish Economy and Society. Denmark is in the top five countries on the Human Development Index (HDI) according to the United Nations Development Program’s 2016 HDI Report. Denmark provides global leadership for wind energy, bike transportation, corporate responsibility, and decentralized sovereignty. While the Danish are known for happiness, high levels of education, and long and prosperous lives, our story map demonstrates that Denmark still struggles, as many countries do, with gender inequality and demographic shifts following immigration.
