Unfortunately for the wildlife, a busy highway runs through the middle. This harms the wildlife ability to cross to other parts of the park, and also causes for a large number of roadkills by traffic. In response to this the park put up fences for wildlife around the highway and built two overpasses and twenty-two underpasses for wildlife to cross the road safely. There structures were built more than a decade ago.
