People should care about what I have learned from this research because I believe you can always make your horizon a little bit broader by engaging in unfamiliar material. If you are like I was just a few weeks ago, you might not have a lot of exposure to Social\u00a0Utopias. On the other hand, even if you are well versed in the topic, I might bring a different perspective to the table…or you might be able to give me some more information on the topic! Although my life at UR is quite different than it would have been as a member of the Oneida Community, I do believe there are some positives I can draw out of my research. I have become more fascinated with the idea of “intentional communities” and the varying degree of how they can be executed. For example, UR is easily classified as an “intentional community.” However, I would say it is on the less restrictive end of the scale.
