I would argue that for the time Icaria was a utopia, especially for women. However, by today&#8217;s standards it is no where near a utopia. Women at the time were given many rights such as voting, and education, but in comparison to today women have those rights and much more. I can connect my paper to More&#8217;s utopia as both More and Cabet were in support of all members of the community having education. Both enlightenment thinkers were also forward thinking at the time, and a view of equality that was not common at the time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Icaria is defined as a utopian community, but is it truly a utopia.
