I have pretty much been restricted to playing games on console and getting back to the controller was great. I’m pretty sure the version of the game on ps4 was remastered to the graphics are pretty crisp and up there with some of the newer shooters. Compared to a few other first person shooters I have played infinite’s controls were a little different, something I still haven’t adjusted to after a few hours of playing is aiming with the left stick, I cannot tell you how many times I tried to posses people while I was trying to aim at them. I found the start of the game a little confusing, especially when you find the AD on booker’s hand. Neither booker or the player is too sure how that happened. The opening scene with all the profits in the water praying in the circle was also a little confusing, but after the class discussion and playing through the game more it started to make sense. I also really enjoyed how this game was based in the light, because I prefer that much more than I prefer dark and dingy games. I would also like to figure out how vigors work, just drinking a potion gives you the ability to throw fireballs?

The combat of the game was a little tougher than I imagined on hard, I didn’t realize there were turrets shooting me and I was extremely confused as to why I was dying. This could also be because I was playing only with subtitles as my roommate was sleeping. The gun I liked to uses the most was defiantly the pistol, because I feel a sense of accomplishment when I land a headshot, but that might be because in other shooter games they are extremely difficult to use. I like the way you can loot the bodies of fallen enemies as it adds a little bit of RNG to the fights, giving you nothing if you’re flying through it or giving you a lot of assistance if you’re getting shot left right and center.

I was played bioshock infinite on the PS4 which was an extremely fun change of pace from portal on the PC.
