{"id":158,"date":"2020-12-03T16:25:50","date_gmt":"2020-12-03T21:25:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/facultyhub\/?p=158"},"modified":"2021-02-24T16:07:56","modified_gmt":"2021-02-24T21:07:56","slug":"debrief-on-fall-2020-thinking-forward-to-spring-2021%e2%80%af","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/facultyhub\/2020\/12\/03\/debrief-on-fall-2020-thinking-forward-to-spring-2021%e2%80%af\/","title":{"rendered":"Debrief on Fall 2020, Thinking Forward to Spring 2021\u202f"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I want to thank and congratulate all faculty and academic staff who have worked so hard to make this semester as successful as possible.\u00a0 Alongside numerous\u00a0staff\u00a0at the university, the faculty have worked extremely hard to adapt to the new and constantly changing challenges of blended and remote teaching.\u00a0 Thank you all for your efforts.<\/p>\n<p>We are conscious of the time challenges\u00a0we have all\u00a0faced since March,\u00a0yet we also want to capture some of those lessons learned and use them to our mutual benefits during spring term.\u00a0Before we move fall term teaching to\u00a0the past tense, we invite you to consider joining us to share\u00a0with your colleagues what you learned this semester.\u00a0 What worked well?\u00a0 What needs re-alignment?\u00a0 What additional professional development support would be most helpful?<\/p>\n<p>Next week, the Faculty Hub is\u00a0offering facilitated conversations about our fall term teaching experiences.\u202f\u00a0Please consider if one of them meets your interests and\u00a0please know that you are welcome to\u00a0participate for a\u202fduration that works for you.\u202f We hope that you will find it meaningful to share and learn with\u00a0your\u00a0colleagues.\u202f We also list below some planning that is under development\u00a0for January 2021, to help you prepare for spring term.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faculty Hub Conversation: Teaching FYS\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Did you teach an FYS course during the fall semester or are you preparing to teach an FYS course in the spring?
