It should be a slow process! However, teachers speed through all of the information. Students are not given the opportunity to spend a whole class period on the Boston Tea Party or the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Instead the knowledge students receive about the Montgomery Bus Boycott is a sentence or two in their textbooks and that is that.
