You will take a practice assessment of 50 questions to evaluate your understanding of science content in Earth and Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. Upon completion of the exam, you will review the results,\u00a0 analyze your performance, identify areas of strength and weakness, write goals for increasing your content knowledge in one area of weakness, and identify resources for further study. After outlining and completing your study, you will write a brief narrative reflection on the process and what you have learned.<\/p>\n

The first Praxis Elementary Education Practice Tests (Version 1) and basic diagnostics are free. The practice tests are\u00a0based on the official content specifications and closely replicate all aspects of the actual exam, including test length, content areas, difficulty level and question types.<\/p>\n

Navigate to the appropriate test section using the menus shown below.<\/p>\n

Once you arrive at the Praxis Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects Practice Tests page, scroll down the list to select Praxis Elementary Ed – Science (5005) (Version 1).<\/p>\n

To begin your test, read the directions and click \u201cNext Question.\u201d\u00a0At any time during the test, you may save your progress and exit by clicking \u201cSave Progress and Return to My Account.\u201d<\/p>\n

When you finish your practice exam, click the \u201cSubmit Test\u201d button. Once you have submitted your test, it will be graded instantaneously. You will receive your score, be able to review all the multiple choice questions and receive a diagnostic breakdown of your strengths and weaknesses in each subject matter domain.<\/p>\n

Click on My Account to go to your dashboard.<\/p>\n

For your completed test, you can select “View Graded Exam” or “View Basic Diagnostics.” Viewing the exam lets you see your answer to every question. You should note the topics of the questions you answered incorrectly. Viewing the diagnostics gives you a general idea of how you scored in specific areas.<\/p>\n

Identify Areas of Strength and Weakness
\n<\/strong>Review the test questions and basic diagnostics to help you identify areas where you feel confident and need to build your understanding. Select one topic for each of the three areas (Earth science, Life science, Physical science) and describe your current level of knowledge and where you would like to improve.<\/p>\n
