Until we understand each other through human experiences we simply cannot understand each other. I believe that everyone possesses implicit biases. We all do. We may be biased based on the messages we received as children. We may be biased based on our religious, cultural or other beliefs. And we might not even be aware that these biases exist. But they do. And until we lean into discomfort and see each other as human beings, we may never understand that the human condition is universal. We all have similar insecurities, fears, joys, love, etc. And we all bleed the same. Here&#8217;s an inspiring story about Bertine, a School Principal and a Refugee from the\u00a0 Democratic Republic of the Congo.
