What about with someone you didn\u2019t know? How was the conversation? Did you speak at all?<\/p>\n<p>Creatures of habit typically gravitate towards what they know, people they know, and experiences they enjoy. Oftentimes less likely to step out of the comfort zone because of the risk.<\/p>\n<p>In the U.S. as times are continuing to advance towards a more technology driven world people are becoming more and more disengaged. In fact, we hardly communicate at all, and if we do it\u2019s via electronic communication and we could be sitting directly in front of one another. We educate ourselves to buy our smart devices, and our smart devices make us dumb.<\/p>\n<p>In Germany, even with the technology, somehow its\u2019 culture has managed to avoid this. At lunch or the dinner table, they manage to have an open dialogue with one another. No phone policy. I wonder what they\u2019re taking about. Stranger are no exception. They too reach out to those next to them to inquire of them and take the time to get to know one another. As they eat their fill, they\u2019re also filling one another up as they engage with each other.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe they are talking about the food? Maybe they\u2019re sharing a little about their day? Maybe they are sharing their story with one another of who they are, how they contribute to, and how they intend to change the world. Mmm, that\u2019s nice and spicy.\u00a0When we choose to share by disengaging with our new found attachments, and engage with each other, we could fill one another with a rib sticking meal. Conversations seasoned with salt, something for someone else to digest and not just spoil their appetite. There\u2019s no limit to what these conversations could be. Business ideas, new companies, or plain and simple advice to a coworker or employee. When all have a story to tell. Yours could change the world, and be the story told for generations. But in a disengaged world who will you tell? Let\u2019s not take these opportunities for granted, and before we reach for the plates let\u2019s reach someone else. Let your mouth experience the taste of something new, a different flavor that someone else has to offer.
