The timer box may extend down the left side of the screen and hide the submit button. Professors: timers are generally a bad idea for other reasons that liaisons go into in another post. Students: if you find yourself in this situation, please save the assessment and finish taking it with Firefox.\u00a0 Otherwise, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/clear-ie-cache-per-domain\/\">try clearing IE 8&#39;s cache<\/a>, or enabling <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windows\/internet-explorer\/features\/easier.aspx\">Compatibility Mode<\/a>. (Click &quot;Compatibility View&quot; on the left-hand side of that Microsoft page.) This will let you view pages in IE 8 as they appear in IE 7.<\/p>\n<p>For the smoothest experience and highest level of compatibility with Blackboard, we recommend using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.com\/en-US\/\">Firefox<\/a> (update regularly but not using beta versions).
