This is accomplished through pairing mentees with upper-class mentors, providing funds to help students attend a National Student Leadership Conference or other related conferences, and engaging them in other leadership-related activities.<\/p>\n<p>Through a variety of programs and leadership opportunities, the PAM program implements opportunities where first-year mentees forge bonds with their mentors to enhance their adjustments, leadership skills, overall retention at the University, as well as satisfaction with the collegiate experience.<\/p>\n<p>All in all, mentees find great satisfaction from the development of their academic, leadership, and personal skills. Many mentees as well as mentors have left with a greater sense of their roles and responsibilities as leaders and transform that awareness into an eagerness to act for the benefit of others.<\/p>\n<p>The selection of first-year mentees and upper-class mentors is a competitive process.
