Discussion:

This deep dish or shallow bowl was made in Wheeling, West Virginia by Warwick China Company, indicated by the maker’s mark on the center of the base. In addition to a scroll pattern in relief, traces of an applied decal decoration are visible in favorable lighting. The image on the right shows a plate made by the same company with the same pattern. Decal-decorated ceramics became popular in the U.S. after circa 1900, and the maker’s mark went out of use circa 1905.
