For\u00a0whichever<\/div>\n<div>article\u00a0you are assigned\u00a0to be the lead, you will write a blog post (approx.\u00a0600 words, this document is about 275\u00a0words) that will quickly summarize the\u00a0article.You will then choose one<\/div>\n<div>or more\u00a0aspects of that topic (it does not have to have been\u00a0mentioned explicitly in the article<\/div>\n<div>or class discussion) and reflect on\u00a0the relevance and\u00a0importance to action research. You should provide evidence to support your point, and\u00a0(possibly) a suggestion as to how this relate to your teaching practice.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>For example,\u00a0if you\u00a0blog about ethical issues in action research, you\u00a0may\u00a0discuss issues<\/div>\n<div>related to being in a double role\u2013as teacher and teacher-researcher and how the\u00a0latter possible may influence students\u2019 answers.\u00a0As evidence that\u00a0this could prevent\u00a0teachers from conducting data from their students you may include the extended time\u00a0this may take.\u00a0If it is your<\/div>\n<div>time\u00a0to post\u00a0the\u00a0lead\u00a0blog,\u00a0it should be submitted by\u00a0midnight\u00a0on the\u00a0specified day.\u00a0Other group members are required to\u00a0read the article and reflect on the\u00a0lead blog. These comments are not simply \u2018good job\u2019 or \u2018you\u2019re wrong.\u2019\u00a0Rather, your\u00a0reflections\u00a0should critically examine the\u00a0lead blogger\u2019s\u00a0data\/evidence, and\/or\u00a0suggestions\u00a0for its relevance to your teaching practice. Comments should be at least a\u00a0full paragraph\u00a0(approx. 100 words). More thorough and insightful comments will receive better scores.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Each lead blog is graded and counts 5% of the final grade.
