Interested in majoring in accounting? You can earn a B.S.B.A degree (through the Robins School of Business) with a major in accounting by completing the seven core accounting courses, in addition to the courses and requirements common to all business majors.
The seven core accounting courses are:
- ACCT-301 Intermediate Financial Accounting I
- ACCT-302 Intermediate Financial Accounting II
- ACCT-305 Cost and Managerial Accounting
- ACCT-307 Accounting Information Systems
- ACCT-312 Federal Tax 1
- ACCT-417 Auditing
- ACCT-431 Advanced Financial Accounting
To explore their unique interests and/or fulfill specific state CPA requirements, students can also take additional accounting courses as electives, including:
- ACCT-359 Special Topics: Cybersecurity for Accounting with Analytics (fall only)
- ACCT-359 Special Topics: Forensic Accounting & Fraud Examination (spring only)
- ACCT-359 Special Topics: International Perspectives: Sustainability Initiatives and Reporting (spring only with Spring Break travel)
- ACCT-388 Professional Accounting Internship (summer only)
