The New Paperclip

The New Paperclip is a site devoted to helping new Office 2007 users get comfortable. It has lots of very simple and short text/image based tutorials on everyday Office skills.

He breaks tutorials down by application and by user level- there are beginner, regular, advanced and expert tutorials available.

Office Tips and Tricks

The MS Office 07 Tips and Tricks site has some good information. The irritating thing is you have to sign up for a Windows Live ID to get at the videos. If you already have a Live ID (it’s the same as your MSN Hotmail, or MSN Messenger ID) or don’t mind a simple sign up then the site is well worth checking out.

SmartArt graphics add color, shape, and emphasis to your text and data, and they’re a snap to use. You can easily try out a variety of SmartArt graphics to see which one works best for getting your point across.

This is a souped up version of WordArt which allows animation and has a number of applications. This demonstration is available as video or text.

Complete Office 2007 Overview

Check out all the changes to Office 2007’s suite of programs. “The Films” are humorous but not too useful. I’d stick to the tabs labeled “The Improvements” and “The Facts.”
