Tiled Background Images

Many WordPress themes allow blog administrators to customize the background of their site by choosing a color or uploading an image. For course sites, using a small image that is designed to repeat and setting it to tile across the entire background has several practical advantages. You can create visual depth, make it easy to distinguish your course site from other course sites, and create visual context for your course (e.g. using a parchment or other paper-like tile for historical literature classes) while still allowing pages to load quickly.
