About re-do papers
I know today you will be handing in your next short close analysis paper, and I am looking forward to reading them. You also are working on revising your last short analysis, and I can’t remember if I gave you an explicit due date, so here it is: The re-do of the short analysis is due the Wednesday in class.
One thing that is very helpful for learning and also for me to assess the work in a re-do is if you will track your changes in Word, and turn in the revision showing (instead of hiding) those marked changes. MAC USERS Instructions on how to do that are here
for PC here
And you can always do it the old fashioned way: print our your revision, and underline anything you have changed, put a editor’s carrot where you took something out, and hand in your marked up draft with the new draft.
This way of tracking your revisions gives you a great visual way to LOOK at what kind of writing decisions you are making, and to reflect on how you are responding to the teacher/editor’s comments.
