Lunches are generally held on Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00 pm in the Keller Hall Reception Room to allow faculty to meet in an informal setting to discuss topics of mutual interest related to teaching and learning. And why is discussing this issue vital for promoting diversity on our campus? Technology can supplement other active learning strategies in the classroom in order to strengthen student engagement, critical for effective learning.  After brief demonstrations, Mirela Fetea and Con Beausang from Physics and Cindy Bukach from Psychology as well as John Hubbard and Lester Caudill from Mathematics and Computer Science will be on hand to respectively discuss using student response systems (clickers) and DyKnow, a collaborative learning tool, with their students.  Boxed lunches will be provided.
