An award-winning teacher, Paul Achter is Associate Professor of Rhetoric in the Department of Rhetoric and Communication Studies at the University of Richmond. His work has appeared in the Quarterly Journal of Speech, Western Journal of Communication, Critical Studies in Media Communication, and more. Achter has also written for CNN.com, Salon, and Huffington Post. His most recent courses include public speaking, rhetoric and terrorism, and a first-year seminar based on the TV show The Wire. Achter is currently writing a book about the rhetoric and aesthetics of Western militarism.
