“Take a Break”

Looking into the Modlin Courtyard from a bench outside of Jepson Theater 1:05

Somebody took my spot, so I’m in my secondary spot on the floor (again).

It’s very cloudy today. The light is bright and white, but it’s not super bright; it’s like a 3.5 on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the brightest. The shadows are fuzzy for the objects in the light like the benches. (P.S. The picture looks brighter than it actually was.)

The light has that kind of look in it like it’s going to rain. By this I mean that the light is dim and looks somehow heavier. It definitely looks like it’s going to rain, but I don’t know if it actually is going to. (Afterwards, it did indeed rain, so my prediction was correct.)

There are rain clouds overhead, but the courtyard light is still dipping between being sunny and cloudy. The most definitive shadows are the shadows of the scalloped arches between the columns on the right perpendicular side. On the wall behind, I can see the shadows of them in the clearest distinction of shadow and light in the courtyard today. The rest of the shadows are still foggy and undefined.

Current mood: distracted as always. I had “Take a Break” from Hamilton stuck in my head (which can be found, for your pleasure, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZCkko_t_rs ).
